1Password 2.5.9 was released today with a changelog that includes over 40 items! This is a huge "minor" point release, but it is still a free upgrade to all existing customers of 1Password. In fact, this is the 64th free update we've released since we began selling 1Password almost 2 years ago. Time sure flies when you are having fun :)
Here are the details on the biggest changes along with some screenshots; the full changelog is included at the end of this post.
Password Strength Indicator
A new password strength indicator has been added to the Strong Password Generator window and Web Form list. You can now easily search for weak passwords that need to be replaced with stronger ones.
To find weak passwords, you can simply sort by the Password column and look for poor strength indicators, as shown here:

New Generic Text Import
The new Generic Text Importer allows importing of any data from a comma separated text file. After selecting the file and encoding format, you are able to configure what each column in the imported file should be, as shown here:

New Welcome Screen
The old Setup Assistant has been replaced with a simpler, more streamlined Welcome screen in the main 1Password application.

New Export Formats
Added option to export all 1Password data to a 1Password Interchange File. This file is plain text and is useful for backup and migration purposes as it contains all of the data used by 1Password.
Display Scope Added to Web Forms
New "Display scope" feature added to the Web Forms attributes. The scope (Always, Web Pages, HTTP Auth, Never) allows you to prevent specific forms from ever appearing in the Restore Form list.

True Synchronization to my1Password
New Sync with my1Password implementation allows data synchronization across multiple Macs. Currently only available to my1Password Alpha testers.

Trial Period Now Includes Palm and Treo Functionality
The export to Palm and Treo can now be used during the trial period without adding the Palm license.
Upgrading to 1Password 2.5.9
The 1Password 2.5.9 release will automatically install itself when you start 1Password if you enabled the automatic Check For Updates preference. If the automatic update window does not appear, check your Preferences in the 1Password > Preferences > Update window and ensure "Automatically check for updates" is checked, as shown here:

You can also manually select File > Check For Updates and 1Password will automatically download and install the latest version.
